Programming schedule

STOTT PILATES® Functional Towel Workout

This simple Pilates-based routine uses the support and resistance of a Conditioning Towel to maintain form and activate support muscles. Ideal for those who are less flexible, the towel assists in increasing range of motion of the peripheral joints and allows muscles to lengthen effectively. Scapular and shoulder stability are highlighted and core strength and control are enhanced, enabling better performance in any type of physical activity.

**The first 50 participants will receive a Conditioning Towel

Learning objectives

  1. Apply the STOTT PILATES Principles to select exercises on the Mat
  2. Understand when and where a towel can be used to create a targeted program
  3. Learn how a fitness towel can be used to support and challenge simple exercises
  4. Discover how to create simple programs that improve functionality and performance

Merrithew® The Flex-Band® Functional Towel Workout

The Flex-Band Exerciser is an ideal tool to target the body’s fascial system. In this workout, the elastic resistance is be used to activate and stimulate myofascial continuities that allow the body to function in patterns rather than individual pieces. The focus is on integration of upper and lower extremities through the core, resulting in a stronger and more resilient body. Exercise progressions will be shown from simple to complex movements that can be incorporated in any fitness program.

Learning objectives

  1. Explore how the STOTT PILATES Principles are applied to full body movements
  2. Experience progressive movements that target the myofascial system
  3. Discover how the Flex-Band can support and add challenge to movement sequences
